Privacy Policy
This explains what I collect, why I collect it, who else touches it, how long I keep it, and how to make me delete it. It is written plainly on purpose. If anything here is unclear, email me and I will answer in plain language.
01
What I collect, and why
Five things, and nothing else.
Your email address, if you give it to me
You give it when you ask for the free Starter Pack or join the list. I use it to send you the pack and to write to you about my work and my course. Every email has an unsubscribe link and it works immediately.
Messages you send me on WhatsApp
If you message my WhatsApp business number, I receive your message, your WhatsApp phone number, your WhatsApp profile name, and anything you attach, including voice notes, images and documents. I use it to answer you and to do the work you are asking for. Voice notes may be transcribed to text so I can search and act on them. I do not use WhatsApp messages for marketing and I will not add your number to any list because you messaged me.
Instagram and direct messages
If you comment a keyword or message my Instagram account, an automated flow replies and asks for your email. Your Instagram username and the messages you send in that conversation are stored to run that flow.
Purchases
If you buy my course, the checkout runs on Whop. Whop takes your payment details, not me. I never see or hold your card number. I do see your name, email and that you purchased.
Cookies for advertising, only if you allow them
I advertise on Instagram and Facebook, and I need to know whether those ads actually work. If you press Allow on the small bar at the bottom of the page, the Meta Pixel loads and stores two cookies, called _fbp and _fbc, which let Meta connect your visit to an ad of mine. If you leave your email address on this site while the pixel is allowed, your address is scrambled into a code inside your own browser before anything is sent, so Meta receives the code and not the address itself.
Being straight with you about what that means: the Meta Pixel is Meta's advertising tool, and it does contribute to the picture Meta builds of you across every site that uses it. That is exactly why it stays switched off until you say yes. Press Decline and it never loads. Nothing on this site needs it to work, and I do not use it to hold anything about you myself, I only see counts.
Changing your mind is easy. Clear this site's cookies and site data in your browser and the bar comes back, so you can answer again. You can also see and change what Meta holds about you for advertising in Meta's Privacy Centre.
02
Who else touches it
I run a small business on ordinary tools rather than my own servers, so a handful of companies process this information on my behalf. Each one is bound by its own agreement with me and by its own privacy terms.
Some of these companies are outside South Africa, mainly in the United States and the European Union, so your information is transferred and stored there. I only use providers that publish their own data protection terms.
03
How long I keep it
04
Your rights
Under South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act, and under the GDPR if you are in the United Kingdom or the European Union, you can ask me to show you what I hold about you, correct anything wrong, delete it, stop using it, or send you a copy. You can also complain to a regulator, which in South Africa is the Information Regulator.
Email cameron@voyagervisual.co.uk and I will answer within 30 days, usually the same week. There is no form and no fee. If you ask me to delete your information I will do it and tell you when it is done, apart from anything the law makes me keep.
05
Security, honestly stated
Information travels encrypted and is stored on hosted infrastructure with access controls, and my accounts carry two factor authentication. My production system has been through an independent security and architecture review by a senior software engineer, and I act on what that review finds.
No system is perfect and I will not pretend otherwise. If something ever went wrong in a way that put your information at risk, I would tell you and the regulator, not quietly hope you never noticed.
06
Children
This is a business service and it is not for children. I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe I have, tell me and I will delete it.
07
Changes
If I change this, the date at the top changes with it. If a change is significant and I have your email address, I will tell you rather than update it quietly.
